IC Net’s Training Programs…

  1. Deal with themes needed for planning and management of development projects.
  2. Provide opportunities not only to development practitioners but also to other interested parties.
  3. Are taught by instructors with professional expertise and abundant work experience in developing countries.
  4. Let students learn professional expertise from lectures and exercises and share development experience and knowledge among participants.

In addition to consulting services, we promote management of training programs as another core of our business. As a result, we have been commissioned by many organizations to plan and manage their training programs including the following: training programs by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), seminars in Japan and Russia implemented by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a training tour in Japan by the Government of Denmark, and the “Development Experience School” in Indonesia by Obirin University. We have also provided our own training programs on the Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) method in cooperation with Khon Kaen University in Thailand and on the Institutional Development and Organizational Strengthening (ID/OS) method in cooperation with MDF, a development training company in the Netherlands. These programs received high acclaim from many development practitioners.

Our training programs aim to enhance understanding of and provide practical training on methods needed in social development research such as PCM (Project Cycle Management, with courses on project planning and formulation, as well as monitoring and evaluation), ID/OS (Institutional Development and Organizational Strengthening), and participatory methods such as PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) and RRA. These methods are useful to many as they cover many fields of development in a cross-cutting fashion. Training sessions on them will have an added impact as participants share a wide variety of experience and information.

We strive to develop training programs with new themes as well as improve the contents and themes of the existing ones. We are ready to help you and would appreciate receiving your feedback.
